God Is Asking…
God had a question for you and me yesterday whether we realized it or not.
His question was the question His Son Jesus asked a blind man: What do you want me to do for you? (Mark 10:51)
That question was recorded in Mark 10:51 and I think it’s a question God wants us to answer every day through our prayers.
So did you pray yesterday as if the Creator of the Universe who is all powerful and all loving had just asked you what you would have wanted Him to do for you?
I asked God for some big things yesterday, at least they are very big things to me and to my loved ones, but I still didn’t pray as if God has just asked me what I wanted.
I didn’t pray with the confidence I should have had knowing God wants to know what He can do for me and I didn’t pray with the imagination I could have.
God wants us to tell Him what we want. Yes, He wants us to want what He wants for us, but He’s a big God and He can handle us asking for what we want.
Sometimes I think I filter what I ask God for far more than He filters what He gives me.
Thankfully tomorrow is a new day and another chance to remember that God is asking what He can do for me and that He really wants me to tell Him.
God wants to know what you want Him to do for you…what will you tell Him?
